Privacy Policy
LocoPDF is built to give you useful PDF tools without asking you to hand over your documents.
How document processing works
All PDF processing happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers during tool operation.
When you merge, split, compress, convert, sign, or otherwise edit a document with LocoPDF, the file stays on your device and is processed in browser memory using client-side code.
What we collect
Account data
For registered users, we collect the email address and basic profile information shared through Google sign-in.
Billing data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or card security code. We may receive limited billing records such as subscription status, plan type, renewal dates, and transaction identifiers.
Anonymous analytics
We use Plausible for cookieless analytics to understand overall product usage. Plausible is configured not to collect personal data.
Error reports
Sentry may collect technical debugging information such as browser type, operating system, page URL, tool context, and error traces. Error reports are intended to help us diagnose failures and never include document data.
Anonymous usage counts
We may record the tool used and the timestamp of use to enforce free-tier limits and understand aggregate usage. We do not record filenames or file content.
Anonymous browser identifier
We store a random anonymous identifier in your browser localStorage to help distinguish one browser installation from another for usage counting. It is not a fingerprint, is not derived from your device characteristics, and you can clear it at any time.

Local storage on your device
LocoPDF stores certain information in your browser, including usage counters, preferences, and working data needed for client-side PDF operations. Depending on the feature, this may be stored in localStorage or IndexedDB.
Third-party services
We use carefully selected providers to operate LocoPDF:
- Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing
- Plausible for cookieless analytics
- Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics
- Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, and security infrastructure
How we use information
- To provide account access and paid subscriptions
- To process billing and manage renewals
- To measure product usage in aggregate
- To detect abuse, enforce usage limits, and maintain security
- To diagnose errors and improve reliability
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including under GDPR and CCPA-style privacy laws, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, deletion of your personal data, and portability of data you have provided to us.
